Sepeaking of Vanessa Angel, she was originally set to leave the TV adaptation of Weird Science when she was cast as Xena in Xena: Warrior Princess. However, Vanessa couldn't take the flight to New Zealand because she had the flu and Lucy Lawless was cast instead. Kelly LeBrock, who played Lisa in the film version, was asked to play Lisa again in this TV adaption but she turned the role down.
It’s interesting how they made this film into a TV show and it features Vanessa Angel, who was in that film Kingpin.
